CATHEXIS

“Pick me! Pick me!” the little girl shouted
As a naughty gust of wind blew up her skirt
And the crowd held their breath and wondered
Whether the strappy young man would really pick her
Out of the horde of cardboard cut-outs on display

Waking up after such a bizarre dream was sweet
The day showed no further traces of nocturnal journeys
Into the hidden world of a vivid mind

But my dreams have no meaning
Unless a few uninvited demons appear
To distract me for a moment
From thoughts layered with honey

Is it really that hard to understand
The simple concept of a subconscious mind
Wasted in night dreams and visions
And constant drama?

This, I tell you, is life on my planet
Waking up to a new eidetic image
While reality for the rest of them
Is only a reoccurring nightmare
I did not create

FEVER

The extremities of this body
To marvel at and comfort
Perhaps to secretly desire
When time stands still

The sore limbs to regenerate
With soft kisses and the gentle touch
Of warm hands that linger
On the perfect skin
Translucent with a beauty so rare

The flesh suppressed by reason
Is no more
Replaced by drops of fire
And jasmine-scented ribbons
On healing fingertips

WALK THE DREAM WITH ME

My love and sleepless nights
My obsession and empty spaces
My fears and long night rides
My free will and tiny people with no eyes
My dreams and morning prayers
My isolation and green gardens
My door and your beauty untouched
My feet and the warm sea
My song and the other side of the world
My collateral damage and their madness
My silly face and the thunder
My love and sleepless nights
Mine, mine, mine!
I stake a claim to them, to you, to us
Come and get me out of here
Walk the dream with me, my darling
And never look back
Take me and no one else
We will roam these sleepless nights together
